- Raine & Horne Coomera/Pimpama triumphs at 2025 Raine & Horne’s Queensland State Awards
Raine & Horne Coomera/Pimpama, led by Mr Jason and Mrs Jacqui Read, emerged victorious in the residential categories at the 2025 Raine & Horne Queensland State Awards held in Brisbane last weekend. This recognition further solidified its position as a top-performing residential property office in Queensland’s competitive Gold Coast real estate market.
In a fitting highlight of the evening, Mr and Mrs Read were named the joint winners of the Max Raine Award for 2025. This award, named in honour of Raine & Horne’s long-term Chairman, Max Raine, is presented to principals who are recognised as strong supporters of the Raine & Horne brand, culture, and values.
“Jason and Jacqui have established a reputation as extremely skilled, honest and sincere professionals in the Coomera/Pimpama real estate market, as well as throughout the broader Gold Coast region and the Raine & Horne network in Queensland,” said Mr Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne.
“Their commitment to embracing and supporting our brand refresh, along with their adoption of innovative technology such as Amplify, reflects their unwavering dedication to our values and culture. This commitment and dedication have earned them the respect of their staff, peers, the real estate and business community – and they are well-deserving recipients of this award.”
Raine & Horne Coomera/Pimpama was recognised as the Top Property Management Office in Queensland and received the Auction Shield for the Metro category. The office also ranked among the Top 10 based on Gross Commission Income (GCI). Additionally, Mr Read was honoured as one of Queensland’s Top 10 Principals based on the number of sales transactions and Gross Commission Income. He was elevated to the Chairman’s Club for Salespeople in Residential & Rural sectors – Silver category. Furthermore, Mrs Jacqui Read, Ms Sue Daunt, Ms Mindy Parker and Mr Josh Buggy were included in the Chairman’s Club for Property Management. Sue Daunt was also recognised as the Outstanding Business Development Manager for 2024 in Queensland.
Mr Read attributes his office’s award-winning performance in 2024 to the fact that his team has leaned into the “technology advancements that Raine & Horne give us, coupling that with moving with new industry trends and creating teams that provide better customer service on the sales side and easier access through technology for tenants and landlords.”
He continued, “The big changes we implemented in 2024 can be summed up by investing in systems and technology and fully embracing the products and services that Raine & Horne Corporate gives us.”
Mr Read stated that his office adopted a leading property management system, to assist with their rent roll activities. Additionally, they enhanced their profile by using Raine & Horne’s AI-powered social media platform, Amplify, to advertise current properties for lease and those that have been leased.
Success driven by integrity, collaboration, and professionalism
Raine & Horne’s values—integrity, collaboration, innovation, knowledge, reliability, and professionalism—are at the core of the successes achieved by Mr and Mrs Read and their team in 2024.
Mr Read notes the strong professionalism demonstrated by Raine & Horne Coomera/Pimpama, with five members of the Property Management department elevated to the Raine & Horne Chairman’s Club. Mr Read explains, “We have secured excellent property managers through the networks and relationships we’ve built over the years.
“People are often attracted to work in our office because they know us well, and our work environment fosters a positive work-life balance.”
He continued, “We welcome individuals with young families who can contribute to our culture. Our team includes multiple families and blended families, including mine, which consists of myself, Jacqui, and our daughter, Jasmin.
“This supportive environment is why our team members stay with us and engage in additional training, as evidenced by their achievements in the Chairman’s Club. They take their profession very seriously.”
Mr Read and the team also take pride in “always doing the right thing’ and in the past 14 days, the office has hosted speakers such as Tom Panos and Glen Azar, whose company is called Building Better Humans.
“Our focus and training extends beyond just developing skilled real estate agents and property managers – we aim to help them become better individuals every day,” said Mr Read.
To illustrate, over the past year, the Raine & Horne Coomera/Pimpama team has encountered some challenging situations. For example, there were two auctions in Merrimac where properties were damaged through no fault of the owners.
“One unfortunate case involved a completely burned-out house. One of our sales agents, Jasmin Turpin, conducted the auction, which generated significant competition in a highly sought-after area, ultimately achieving a sale well over the reserve price.
“The owners, faced with the unfortunate reality of not having the passion or resources to rebuild the house, were able to sell the property for an excellent price, allowing them to move on from a tough situation.”
The office's core values are reflected in its community support initiatives, which include sponsoring local community and sporting events. One such event is the Multisport Gold triathlon and multisport club located on the northern end of the Gold Coast, where Mr and Mrs Read regularly compete. In fact, Mr and Mrs Read’s passion for the ironman extends to competing internationally including the New Zealand Ironman in February 2025.
