Major Bundaberg independent switches to Raine & Horne

April 16, 2025

Raine & Horne has achieved a significant milestone, welcoming the well-regarded Bundaberg independent, Galaxy Real Estate, led by experienced principal Rebecca Beer, to its expanding Australasian network.

The decision marks a strategic move for the 26-year-old Galaxy Real Estate, which Ms Beer acquired in 2022.

“My motivation for rebranding Galaxy to Raine & Horne is to enhance our service for clients and staff by leveraging the best resources and technology available, including industry-first tools such as the social media marketing platform Amplify,” said Ms Beer.

“We want to expand our reach and align more closely with current market trends, ensuring our ongoing success in the competitive Bundaberg market, one of Queensland’s biggest regional cities.

“This rebranding provides opportunities for my team and me to grow and ensure long-term sustainability, all while maintaining the down-to-earth customer service we are known for.”

Mr Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne, expressed his delight at Ms Beer’s decision to move her office to Raine & Horne.

“Rebecca is Bundaberg through and through, having lived in the region for 35 years and having built an impressive real estate career since 2003 and immersing herself in the local community,” Mr Raine said. Ms Beer is a committee member of the Bundaberg Business Women’s Network and has been a member of many sporting groups over the years.

“Rebecca’s deep community knowledge and real estate experience are complemented by strong business connections in the real estate and construction sectors across the Wide Bay Region,” Mr Raine said.

“I’m thrilled at the opportunity to work with Rebecca in bringing Raine & Horne’s unique real estate services to the Wide Bay Region.”

A comprehensive service offering that includes rural services

Raine & Horne Bundaberg will continue to offer residential sales and property management, business sales and rural and farm sales. As part of the transition, Ms Beer has confirmed the office will relocate to a modern, purpose-built space at 73 Barolin Street, Bundaberg South. Additionally, Ms Beer has purchased the entire building at 73 Barolin Street as part of the move to Raine & Horne.

“We’re excited to continue offering rural services under the Raine & Horne Rural banner. This will allow us to leverage the strength of the Raine & Horne Rural brand while continuing to serve our clients in the rural, farm, and business sales sectors,” Ms Beer said.

“Our goal is to ensure seamless integration of services under the Raine & Horne name, providing the same high level of service and expertise our clients have come to expect since 1999.”

The appeal of Raine & Horne

Raine & Horne’s reputation is built on several key pillars: technology leadership and the strength of the Raine & Horne brand, which has been built over the last 142 years. Ms Beer stressed the importance of these pillars as the foundation of her decision to join Raine & Horne.

“The rich history and the innovative technology of Raine & Horne really stands out. The brand’s longstanding legacy in real estate builds trust with clients, and tools such as Amplify and the first-to-market online proposal tool DigiKitPlus demonstrate Raine & Horne’s commitment to staying at the forefront of technology, enhancing both efficiency and client engagement,” said Ms Beer.

“This blend of tradition and innovation is a strong differentiator for the brand, appealing to a wide range of clients and will help us as an agency achieve the best results possible.”

Perfect switch to Raine & Horne as the property market shows strong growth

According to Ms Beer, the move to Raine & Horne has been timed to perfection. The Bundaberg property market demonstrated promising growth increases in key areas in 2024.

“The Bundaberg property market is performing very well, with significant increases in housing prices in Bundaberg East (up 9.5%) and Bundaberg North (up 18.1%),” Ms Beer said.

“The area’s lifestyle appeal, affordable property prices, and strong rental yields make it an attractive destination for owner-occupiers and investors. New infrastructure investments and community facilities are also contributing to the region’s growth.”

A bright future with Raine & Horne

Transitioning to Raine & Horne is a compelling step that will help elevate Ms Beer and her office’s presence in the competitive Bundaberg real estate market.

“Our move will enhance our brand recognition in Bundaberg and provide us access to valuable resources, marketing tools, and a broader network,” Ms Beer said.

“By aligning with a well-established name like Raine & Horne, we can better serve our clients and strengthen our position in the Bundaberg market.”
