Star Bexley agent joins Raine & Horne as market set for takeoff

October 22, 2021

Bexley NSW (18 October 2021) Superbrand Raine & Horne has landed a major corporate coup with the recruitment of star Bexley agent Marc Gable by one of its award-winning southern Sydney offices.

The southern Sydney real estate specialist is now part of the team at Raine & Horne Bexley/Beverly Hills, led by Directors Sam Epsimos and John Gymellas.

“I’m delighted that Marc is part of our team. He has been a star agent in this region for a decade, and he links with us just as the local real estate markets are set to go into overdrive,” Mr Gymellas said.

“It’s fantastic to have Marc with us now rather than against us, and he brings a more significant slice of market share to Raine & Horne Bexley/Beverly Hills. This aspect of Marc joining us will cement our grip on the Bexley area.

“In addition, Marc has experience as a sales trainer. He will help grow and develop the skills of our salespeople, which is a bonus for the business.”

According to Mr Gymellas, his star sales recruit joins Raine & Horne Bexley/Beverly when the local real estate market is set to takeoff as international borders open.

From 1 November, the NSW Government will remove quarantine requirements and caps for overseas arrivals who the Commonwealth Government recognises as fully vaccinated with a TGA-approved vaccine[i].

“The market for freestanding houses is already very active, while the apartment market is still in a holding pattern,” Mr Gymellas said.

To illustrate, Raine & Horne Bexley/Beverly Hills sold a charming Hamptons inspired four-bedroom residence at 2 Byrnes Street, Bexley, for $1.74 million prior to auction. Built on a 266 square metre block, the property attracted colossal interest and sold well above the owner’s expectations.

“The housing market is being driven by upgraders shifting from apartments in the city fringes and Inner West who want to start a family and need a bigger home and some land.”

Mr Gymellas continued, “As soon as state and international borders open in a little over a week, we believe the return of Australians stranded overseas and international students will see the apartment market hit the runway and take off similarly to freestanding houses.

“The fact we’ve had very few long-haul flights touching down at nearby Sydney Airport has had an impact. But given the privileged location of our region, when the planes start landing again, there will be no holding back our markets.

“Moreover, talk of doubling the intake of skilled migrants will help drive up demand for apartments in Bexley, Beverly Hills and surrounding suburbs. As such, the timing for Marc’s recruitment couldn’t be better.”

Mr Gable agreed that the timing of his decision to link with Raine & Horne Bexley/Beverly Hills is sound.

“After ten years in the Bexley market, linking with Raine & Horne represents the next step in my career progression,” he said.

“I’m also delighted that there will be new opportunities with Raine & Horne Bexley/Beverly Hills to expand my horizons, yet I’ll still be operating in a very familiar market to me.

“With international borders reopening, it’s exciting times, and I look forward to working closely with John, Sam and the team to take the business to the next level in collaboration with a brand that has impressive local, state and national brand recognition.”
