Ben Brackenridge ushers in a new chapter at Raine & Horne Surfers Paradise

October 30, 2024

Raine & Horne Surfers Paradise is entering an exciting new chapter in its almost two-decades long history with sales specialist Mr Ben Brackenridge taking the helm from long-serving principal Clark Brackenridge.

With over 17 years of experience at Raine & Horne Surfers Paradise and deep local market knowledge, Mr Brackenridge’s leadership promises to continue the tradition of exceptional service and growth established under his father’s astute stewardship. Furthermore, Mr Brackenridge has already demonstrated his strong business leadership credentials by launching the firm’s successful property management division.

Business as usual for Raine & Horne Surfers Paradise

Mr Brackenridge explained that careful succession planning has played a vital role in ensuring a smooth business transition from his father to himself. “The culture at Raine & Horne Surfers Paradise is one of consistency, professionalism, and long-term vision.

“This transition is part of our strategy to build on our successes and ensure continuity in how we service our clients and grow our business. Our team remains the same, and we’ll continue to deliver the exceptional service we’re known for, so it’s very much business as usual.”

Although Clark Brackenridge will not remain with the business, his influence remains strong. “My father’s leadership and experience have shaped our team, and one of the best pieces of advice he gave me is to always prioritise relationships — both with clients and within the team,” Mr Brackenridge said.

“This approach has helped build the foundation for long-term success, and I’ll certainly carry that forward.”

Strong leadership and loyal clientele drive success

Since starting his stellar sales career in 2015, repeat business and client referrals have been central to Mr Brackenridge’ success. “This year has been one of Raine & Horne Surfers Paradise’s strongest sales years since 2007 in terms of total dollar sales,” he said.

“This success is largely driven by referrals from owners in buildings where we’ve sold apartments, along with repeat business which accounts for about 30% of our overall sales transactions.

“We are one of the leading agents in the Surfers Paradise region because people know us, and they like our straightforward approach to real estate.”

While leading the sales efforts, Mr Brackenridge will keep a watchful eye on the property management division, which is managed by his wife, Mrs Angela Brackenridge. “While the business plans to expand its sales division, we will continue to prioritise its long-term landlords. “Our long-term landlords are absolutely vital,” he said.

“Our landlords form the backbone of our property management division. They are crucial to our stability and ongoing growth. We’ve built trust with them over the years, and they’ve been loyal to us because of our consistent results and the high level of service we provide.”

Motivations for taking the reins

As he’s been with Raine & Horne Surfers Paradise since 2007, stepping into the principal’s role feels like a natural progression for Mr Brackenridge. “I’m particularly passionate about the opportunities for innovation in our operations, especially with the use of technology and digital marketing tools such as Raine & Horne’s first-to-market AI-powered social media platform, Amplify.

“We’re focused on leveraging technology and digital marketing to reach a wider audience and streamline our processes.

“Additionally, we’re putting a big emphasis on customer service and nurturing our existing client relationships. The goal is to grow our team with like-minded professionals and continue offering exceptional value to our clients.”

Mr Brackenridge said the Raine & Horne brand was also central to his business’s succession planning. “The strength of the Raine & Horne brand is its longevity and reputation for excellence.

“Being part of such a well-respected network has given us access to best-in-class resources, training, and a wide-reaching network of professionals, all of which have been integral to our success. The brand instills confidence in our clients, which helps us win business and deliver results.”

Regarding the market outlook, Mr Brackenridge says Surfers Paradise continues to be an attractive destination for investors and those looking for lifestyle properties. “While there may be some fluctuations in the market, I expect it to remain resilient overall, particularly in the apartment and luxury property sectors.

“Long-term, Surfers Paradise will always be in demand due to its prime location and lifestyle appeal.”

Mr Brackenridge continued, “Overall, I’m incredibly excited about the future of Surfers Paradise and for our office.

“We’ve got a fantastic team in place, and I’m confident we’ll continue to thrive and deliver great results for our clients.”
