Buderim is a mountain town on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, about an hour's drive north of Brisbane.The mountain itself is an extinct volcano, with the town located 600ft above sea level.

Buderim, famous for its ginger production, is a fast growing centre with some of the most desirable real estate on the Sunshine Coast. In fact, it is one of only four Queensland towns to make it onto a list for the top 10 destinations targeted for the ‘sea change’ phenomenon. Much of the land once deemed too expensive to develop is now being developed due to a significant leap in real estate values.

Residents enjoy sweeping views and a mild climate year round. The centre of Buderim has a population of about 35,000 and is about 10 minutes from beaches such as Mooloolaba, Maroochydore and Alexandra Headlands. The town boasts leafy streets lined with Poinciana trees and flowering shrubs. Buderim’s elevation means the temperature is often cooler than the coast by as much as five degrees. The tree-lined escarpment and close proximity to the ocean gives the town the best of the beach and the hinterland.

Buderim has numerous restaurants. Savour cuisines from around the world including French, Indian, Thai, Burmese, Italian, and Chinese as well as contemporary Australian.

Sport and outdoor activities are a way of life in Buderim, and there many different physical pursuits and sporting clubs to choose from.

There are a large number of educational facilities including day care centres, pre-schools, Buderim Mountain Primary School, Chancellor State College (primary and secondary campuses), Sunshine Institute of TAFE, Immanuel Lutheran College, Kuluin State Primary School, Matthew Flinders Anglican College, Montessori International College, Mountain Creek Primary School, Mountain Creek High School, Siena Catholic College, Sunshine Coast Grammar School and the University of the Sunshine Coast.

Buderim has several hospitals nearby including Buderim Private Hospital, The Sunshine Coast Private Hospital, Nambour General Hospital, Nambour Selangor Private Hospital and Caloundra Hospital.
