Greenslopes is a moderately sized suburb of Brisbane, 6km south-east of the CBD.

Many of the dwellings in Greenslopes are 'character homes' of pre-war construction. The local shopping precinct is Greenslopes Mall on Logan Road. The Greenslopes Private Hospital, formerly a military hospital is located within the suburb. Other longstanding landmarks include the Greenslopes State School and Greenslopes Bowls Club and a tenpin bowling centre at the corner of Chatsworth and Logan Roads.

The Australian Institute of Applied Sciences (AIAS) College of Natural Medicine is the most notable educational institution in the area. Located on Beata St, the AIAS College is a major contributor, through its large number of on campus students, to the economic development of Stones Corner.

Stones Corner is a Greenslopes locality (formerly a separately designated suburb) known for its assortment of ethnic communities, ethnic retail food outlets and several sidewalk restaurants and cafés — Italian, Indian, Turkish and others — located on Logan Road. It is also one of Brisbane’s most popular shopping precincts, specialising in factory outlet fashion.

Greenslopes is culturally and spiritually diverse. Apart from numerous Anglican, Uniting Church and Roman Catholic parishes typical of Australian suburbs, there is a synagogue, a Maronite Catholic Church and an Antiochian Orthodox church. To the south of Greenslopes, close to Logan Road, is a large Sunni mosque with a multi-ethnic congregation.

Greenslopes is well served by public transport, particularly buses. With easy access to the city along Logan Road or the Southeast Freeway, Greenslopes' popularity with buyers is reflected in its strong growth.

The Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ) expects Greenslopes will continue to be popular with buyers wanting access to the city, local facilities and the Greenslopes Private Hospital but still want to live in one of Brisbane's older and established suburbs.
