Regional and coastal real estate powerhouses shine at Raine & Horne Queensland State Awards

Raine & Horne Gladstone, led by Mr Mark Patton, has emerged victorious in the residential categories at the Raine & Horne Queensland State Awards, further solidifying its position as a top-performing residential property office in regional Queensland.

Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North, under Mr Trent Bruce’s leadership, took home multiple accolades in the commercial categories, showcasing the strength and success of its business operations.

Celebrating excellence in real estate and commitment to the Raine & Horne culture

In a fitting highlight of the evening, Jason and Jacqui Read of Raine & Horne Coomera/Pimpama were named the joint winners of the Max Raine Award for 2025. This award, named in honour of Raine & Horne’s long-term Chairman, Max Raine, is presented to principals who are recognised as strong supporters of the Raine & Horne brand, culture, and values.

“Jason and Jacqui have established a reputation as extremely skilled, honest and sincere professionals in the Coomera/Pimpama real estate market, as well as throughout the broader Gold Coast region and the Raine & Horne network in Queensland,” said Mr Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne.

“Their commitment to embracing and supporting our brand refresh, along with their adoption of innovative technology such as Amplify, reflects their unwavering dedication to our values and culture. This commitment and dedication have earned them the respect of their staff, peers, the real estate and business community – and they are well-deserving recipients of this award.” 

Raine & Horne Coomera/Pimpama was recognised as the Top Property Management Office in Queensland and received the Auction Shield for the Metro category. The office also ranked among the Top 10 based on Gross Commission Income (GCI). Additionally, Mr Read was honoured as one of Queensland’s Top 10 Principals based on the number of sales transactions and Gross Commission Income. He was elevated to the Chairman’s Club for Salespeople in Residential & Rural sectors – Silver category. Furthermore, Mrs Jacqui Read, Ms Sue Daunt, Ms Mindy Parker, Mr Josh Buggy, and Ms Jemma Turpin were included in the Chairman’s Club for Property Management. Sue Daunt was also recognised as the Outstanding Business Development Manager for 2024 in Queensland.

Mr Raine continued, “With offices such as Raine & Horne Coomera/Pimpama, Raine & Horne Gladstone and Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North leading the way, it’s clear we have a Queensland network is committed to delivering excellence to our clients.” 

The incredible turnout at the awards event held at the exclusive Rivershed in Howard Smith Wharves, Brisbane CBD, highlighted the network's cultural strength. 

Mr Raine remarked, “It was a fantastic effort for some of our regional offices to make it to Brisbane on Saturday night, considering the size of Queensland.

“We had 25% more attendees than in 2024. And the fact that we had the majority of offices attending speaks volumes about the culture of our Queensland network. We sold out this event weeks in advance.”

“These awards are a testament to the hard work of all our offices across Queensland and their commitment to providing the best service to clients,” Mr Raine added.

Residential success at Raine & Horne Gladstone

Raine & Horne Gladstone’s remarkable achievements were celebrated at the prestigious awards ceremony, recognising the team’s exceptional performance in the residential sector.

Mr Patton’s leadership and commitment to client service were key factors driving the office’s success in 2024. “Mark Patton’s team continues to impress with their outstanding sales and service,” said Mr Gary Hassett, Raine & Horne Queensland State Manager.

“Mark runs a very efficient business and has excellent agents and a strong property management team. He consistently demonstrates effective leadership and operational excellence.”

This year, Raine & Horne Gladstone was recognised as the Top Office for the Number of Sales Transactions and the Top Office for Gross Commission Income (GCI). Furthermore, Mr Patton and his team were named the Top Regional Office

In the Top Salesperson category for GCI, Raine & Horne Gladstone’s sales ace, Mr Steven James, took first place, with rookie Ms Kristal Turner earning fifth place and being recognised as the Best New Talent among Salespeople. Mr James also secured first place in the Top Salesperson Number of Sales Transactions category, with Ms Turner ranking fourth. Additionally, Mr James was elevated to the Chairman’s Club for Salespeople in Residential & Rural – Gold due to his stellar sales efforts in 2024. Meanwhile, Ms Turner earned a commendable spot in the Chairman’s Club for Salespeople in Residential & Rural – Silver. 

Commercial triumph at Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North

In the commercial sector, Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North, led by perennial award winner Mr Trent Bruce, achieved remarkable success despite a challenging market and their colleagues at Raine & Horne Commercial Southside, led by Mr Joseph Grasso and Mr Nick Comino, strongly, competing for top office status.

Mr Chris Nicholl, CEO of Raine & Horne, stated, “Trent and his team’s ability to provide innovative solutions to clients and their unwavering commitment to business growth were instrumental in their multiple award wins.

“They have been at the forefront of the commercial property market in Brisbane since 1999, delivering outstanding results for their clients. Their strategic approach to commercial real estate and commitment to understanding market dynamics have earned them this well-deserved recognition.”

Mr Nicholl also acknowledged the Raine & Horne Commercial Southside team, noting that “they are strong performers in their own right”.

“Joseph, Nick and the team run an outstanding business, and it’s great to see the competition between our successful offices. Seeing Nick secure the largest sales transaction for 2024 was pleasing. Colin Tucker from our Southside office was also named Top Commercial Leasing Agent for Transactions and earned the Chairman’s Club Salespeople Commercial - Gold award.”

However, Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North proved dominant by winning Top Commercial Office for GCI and Top Commercial Office for Number of Sales Transactions. Mr Bruce was named Top Commercial Auction Lister, while director Lawrence Temple won Top Commercial Salesperson for Sales Transactions and Top Commercial Salesperson for Sales GCI

Mr Temple also received the Top Commercial Leasing Agent award for Leasing Dollar Value. Other members of the Kedron-based office, including Leisa Sharp, Sam Mangano, and Carolyn Brookes, earned recognition in the Chairman’s Club for Property Management. Additionally, Mr Bruce, Mr Temple, and Mr Jack Hawkes were included in the Chairman’s Club Salespeople Commercial - Platinum category.
