Double Bay’s Ric Serrao named among NSW’s best agents

When historians chronicle the Australian real estate industry of the early 21st century, Ric Serrao’s name will undoubtedly stand out.

As a crucial and consistent figure at Raine & Horne Double Bay/Bondi Beach over the past two decades, Ric shows no signs of slowing down. Named one of the top four sales agents in NSW by Real Estate Business (REB)[i], he continues to lead his team to success. Apart from being the highest-ranked agent in NSW from a major real estate group, Ric was also among the top four agents in 2023 after finishing ninth in 2022. 

This annual state-based ranking, produced in collaboration with REB parent company Momentum Media and powered by Agile Market Intelligence, celebrates agents such as Ric, who achieved outstanding sales in 2023 while establishing a robust presence in their local communities. The report also highlights agents who have set high professional standards in Australia, setting a benchmark for excellence that others can aspire to achieve.

This latest accolade follows the 2024 Raine & Horne NSW Awards for Excellence in March, where Ric and his team cemented their reputation as a leading force in Australian real estate by winning the prestigious Top NSW Office Dollar Value and Top Office—Number of Sales Transactions awards. In fact, Ric and his team at Raine & Horne Double Bay have consistently secured this award since 2001.

Ric, ever humble, attributes part of his success to working in the Eastern Suburbs. “However, I have always prided myself on growing the salespeople in my team. I handle the heavy lifting in the sales process aspects where I excel—listings, listings, and negotiations. Then my team assists with the sales side of things.”

Ric also credits his team, including Operations Manager Lucy Apoyan and Business Manager Grace Twomey, for his successes. “This team effort allows me to focus more on volume and providing fantastic customer service to my vendors.

“My team enables me to conduct many daily appraisals and run a phenomenally successful real estate firm.”
