Raine & Horne touches down in Gledswood Hills, led by local expert Nick Alexopoulos

October 23, 2024

With the rapid expansion of Sydney’s Southwest Growth Corridor, fuelled by the upcoming Western Sydney Airport, which will open in 2026, Gledswood Hills has become a thriving suburb, experiencing real estate growth of around 60% since the pandemic.

In response to this growth, Australasian real estate giant Raine & Horne, piloted by local expert Mr Nick Alexopoulos, has landed in Gledswood Hills, bringing the super brand’s cutting-edge PropTech solutions, marketing, training, and agency systems to local vendors and buyers.

Mr Alexopoulos, an experienced real estate professional with 24 years of experience, brings to Raine & Horne Gledswood Hills, his extensive knowledge and passion for the property market in the fast-growing region of Gledswood Hills and surrounding suburbs. Having previously worked with other real estate brands, Mr Alexopoulos is excited to embark on this new chapter, leveraging Raine & Horne’s robust systems and market reach.

“I’ve been in the Gledswood Hills area for eight years, and prior to that, I was about 16 kilometres down the road in the Bossley Park, Smithfield, and Fairfield areas,” said Mr Alexopoulos.

In late 2016, Mr Alexopoulos launched his own sales and property management business, initially operating from a home office. In 2017, he relocated to Suite 1, Level 1, 1 Gregory Hills Drive, Gledswood Hills, where he quickly established himself as a trusted figure in the community. “98% of my business comes from referrals and my extensive professional network,” he noted.

Embracing brand strength and cutting-edge technology

Mr Alexopoulos decision to join Raine & Horne was driven by the need for a more substantial brand presence and access to the company’s cutting-edge technology and marketing tools.

“Joining Raine & Horne is a game changer,” Mr Alexopoulos said. “When I looked into Raine & Horne, what really stood out to me was that they didn’t have an oversaturation of offices. It wasn’t like every corner I turned, there was another Raine & Horne office, and I appreciated that. I also liked that it’s still family-owned, and the rebranding[i] is fantastic.

“I love the gold ampersand, and I just like the font. Everything about the brand now feels fresh and dynamic.”

Although still new to Raine & Horne, Mr Alexopoulos is impressed by the brand’s ecosystem of cutting-edge technology firsts. “The social media marketing platform Amplify gets plenty of praise, but everyone in my office is raving about DigiKitPlus, the online proposal tool that creates stunning appraisals and listing proposals with a simple click of a mouse.

“I was about to spend thousands of dollars developing my own online proposal platform, so I’m thrilled to have this resource. We’re also excited about Amplify, and after our first two-hour training session with Raine & Horne, the staff couldn’t stop talking about how great CompassPlus is.” Award-winning CompassPlus[ii], powered by MRI’s VaultRE, streamlines property listings, sales, and performance tracking and features task management. “Raine & Horne’s technology is next level,” added Mr Alexopoulos.

“I’ve always wanted to expand my business, and Raine & Horne’s brand strength, rebranding efforts, and family-owned values align perfectly with my vision. I’m excited about the future, especially as my son prepares to join the business after completing his HSC.”

Mr Alexopoulos’s office, now home to a growing team of five, has thrived in the Glenwood Hills area. With a fully organic portfolio of managements expected to grow by 25% in the coming months, his goal is to expand the rent roll further and advance his regional footprint.

The Glenwood Hills property market, particularly with its proximity to the new Western Sydney International Airport, has been booming. “Before COVID, Gledswood Hills was considered extremely affordable,” Mr Alexopoulos said.

“For instance, just four years ago, a four-bedroom, two-bathroom house with a double garage on a 400-square-metre block could be purchased for around $675,000. However, perceptions about distance from the Sydney CBD kept many buyers away. Today, those same properties are selling for $1.1 million, highlighting the area’s dramatic price growth.

“Despite this, first home buyers are still attracted to the area, thanks to available 275-300 square metre blocks and the significant infrastructure development, including new roads and improved connectivity. There’s just a lot of excitement about the Western Sydney Airport, and buyers can be confident that they can invest in this area and that their money isn’t going to go backward in the long term,” Mr Alexopoulos concluded.
