Celebrating our Property Managers

July 21, 2022

Property Management is a central component to any real estate business. Providing our property managers with opportunities for growth, development and success is everything to us at Raine & Horne. In prioritising training, networking, and collaboration, it allows us to grow with our teams and have a tangible impact on their career progression.

This National Property Manager’s Day we want to highlight the experiences of three of our best property managers. With different backgrounds and experiences, across three different states, the overarching theme across their careers is a sincere passion for what they do.

Kelly Ray started her career as a Property Manager in 2005 and has developed into a Business Development Manager at Raine & Horne Toowoomba. She’s a passionate, proactive member of the network and has a lot of valuable insights.

“Understanding that the experiences of and word of mouth recommendations can even come from tenants who then become homeowner who become investors.  I have been fortunate to have been able to secure managements from previous tenants who have then sought out our Agency’s services for Property Management due to their positive experiences with myself.”

For John Katergerakis of Raine & Horne Bexley | Beverly Hills and Raine & Horne Green Square, the progression from Property Manager to Director has educated his management style and the key areas of his business’ focus. Offering a full-service management of the team’s property portfolio, he coordinates everything from marketing, tenant and landlord communication and trade services.

“Going from Property Manager to Director meant learning lots of new skills with regards to training, developing, and managing a PM team. A lot of my PM skills were also transferable with regards to problem solving, task management & people management which are all big keys to a successful property management career. As Director it is very rewarding to introduce systems, processes and technology into our workspace and see it adapted by the team to make their job more enjoyable and achieving a higher level of service to our clients.”

Gwen Levesque worked in the Property Management team at Raine & Horne Gawler, before starting up Raine & Horne Munno Para, where she is Director. With almost 10 years of real estate experience, communication is a vital part of how she operates her business.

“It is everything to me to make sure our team works well together and communicates regularly. If there are any issues the whole team supports one another. Everyone in our team knows that they are a vital asset to the business, and we make sure to reward them and highlight their success where we can.”

Our Property Managers are an asset to our team at every stage of the business, and we are grateful for days like today to realign our focus and show our support of the property management network.
