Brooke Brabon, Purchaser
Hello David,
Or should I say 'Fellow Douglas Shire neighbour'? ha. Yes I recently purchased a house from the lovely Charlie in your office.
We had looked at about five houses in Port & four in Mowbray but there was always something about them that just didn't fit unfortunately. One day we were in Port for the day and decided to go and look at an open home of an old house in Mowbray, it had so much character but just needed too much work. As we were there we met Charlie and started talking to her, she was so interested in what we thought of this house and what we were looking for and we found that she really listened to our thoughts on it and we thought she was just a 'different' style of agent - personal and warmth to her.
A few days after we met Charlie, I received a message on Facebook from Charlie (apologising for contacting me on Facebook ha) but that my email address was misplaced but to let me know that a house in Mowbray had come up and that she thought it would be perfect for what we were looking for. We thought how lovely that she even went out of her way to go that extra bit to get in contact with us.
Charlie advised that she would be happy to meet us at the house when the photographer was there taking photos of the house so it could go on the market, I said to my partner "We only spoke to Charlie for a few minutes, could she really know what we are looking for? Let's go up anyway and even if we don't like the place we can go and grab my favourite lentil burger...". So we met Charlie at the house and she was there to greet us with a hug and a BIG smile (so different, love it), and she ushered us around the place like she was an old friend of ours and pointing out great little features whilst giving us our own time to check it out also. Hmm I think it took four minutes until I said "Tell the photographer not to bother taking anymore shots, this place is ours!"
Within two hours, I had signed the contract and paid the deposit and it was so swiftly done and Charlie was just a total pro the whole way. She has stayed in regular contact (being so excited with me) and just checking in and wrote us a lovely card when I picked the keys up with a gift - such a nice touch!
So in the end...we went up for a burger and ended up buying a 1934 cottage!! We call Charlie the "girls girl" of real estate, and I'm so please that I dealt with her and I'm sure she is an asset to your office too.
Please pass on my 'Thanks' to her.
Kind Regards,
Brooke
