- Christmas Colouring Competition winners revealed
Over 500 promising Sidney Nolans, Margaret Olleys and Brett Whitleys have added colour to their Christmas festivities by competing in the 2019 Raine & Horne Colouring Competition.
As part of the inaugural competition, which has been enthusiastically supported by prominent artistic paint manufacturer Matisse, children from toddlers to preteens have won Christmas prize packs worth $60. The prize packs included an assorted mix of Matisse paint supplies and accessories as well as limited edition Raine & Horne bags, keyrings and sticker packs.
“We received a fantastic collection of entries for our Christmas Colouring Competition from across Australia and from artists as young as six months old,” said competition judge and Raine & Horne Executive Chairman, Angus Raine.
“My team and guests visiting our office were delighted by the enthusiasm and creativity displayed by the young artists.”
“We produced three iconic Australian Christmas illustrations featuring a koala in a stocking, a young Aussie surfer scouring the horizon for the perfect wave and Santa sizzling some snags over the typical Aussie barbecue.”
Entries were delivered to Raine & Horne offices around Australia or were sent from primary schools or by post or email.
Mr Raine said, “We have been overwhelmed by the response to our colouring competition and would like to thank all the artists and their parents, grandparents, guardians and schoolteachers for taking the time to submit the masterpieces.
“We wish everyone a safe and enjoyable Christmas and New Year.”
