- Raine & Horne office to transform real estate on the North Shore
Real estate Superbrand Raine & Horne has reinforced its position as a market leader on Sydney’s prestigious North Shore with the merger of three of its principal offices.
Raine & Horne Crows Nest, established in 1973 has amalgamated with nearby Raine & Horne Chatswood Willoughby that started in 1992 and Raine & Horne St Leonards.
The new entity will trade as Raine & Horne HM Group from offices in Chatswood and Crows Nest, and former Raine & Horne Crows Nest principals David and Jan Hill and Hugh and Cassandra Macfarlan from Raine & Horne Chatswood Willoughby will lead the business.
Raine & Horne St Leonards principal John Simpson-Morgan is excited to integrate his long-standing business into Raine & Horne HM Group. This decision to join the new entity will provide an enhanced level of service to Raine & Horne St Leonards clients through greater access to resources, training and reach across the North Shore, noted Mr Simpson-Morgan.
“An office expansion of this nature is a developing industry trend, and this merger represents one of the clear-cut advantages of being part of a large network such as Raine & Horne,” said Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne.
“The offices share a similar corporate culture, while a merger gives David, Hugh, Jan, and Cassandra the opportunity to take their businesses to the next level.
“Moreover, an opportunity to create larger, more robust businesses is not as easily available to independents.”
Mr Macfarlan said Raine & Horne HM Group is a union of two long-standing family businesses that will afford the combined entity economies of scale, a significantly expanded client database and the prospect of more tenants and buyers.
“We will also be able to invest in better systems and procedures, which will result in enhanced service for our vendors, investors, buyers, and tenants,” Mr Macfarlan said.
“There is an increasing need for investment in new technologies, new systems and streamlined procedures – and by combining our resources, we can be at the forefront of these opportunities to provide an unparalleled level of customer service.”
The commercial longevity of Raine & Horne Crows Nest, Raine & Horne Chatswood Willoughby and Raine & Horne St Leonards that share similar corporate cultures was central to the amalgamation, noted Mr Macfarlan.
He said, “It just made sense to integrate our people and processes to provide a superior level of service to our valued clientele.
“As always, our clients are our top priority. There will be enormous benefits for them as we now cover the greater North Shore corridor - from Waverton to Roseville.
“We have merged three powerful databases which means our clients will have access to more qualified buyers and tenants resulting in greater exposure for their property.”
Moreover, Mr Macfarlan said the move still underlines that the new entity is proudly part of the real estate super brand Raine & Horne which is Australia’s oldest family-owned real estate firm with over 135 years in the marketplace.
“That said, we decided Raine & Horne HM Group was a more appropriate business name as we now service a broader area on the north shore, rather than one suburb or locality. The name Raine & Horne HM Group also signifies a united team.”
Raine & Horne HM Group will respond to changing property trends
The principals of Raine & Horne HM Group considered carefully how the merge fits with the current marketplace, noted Mr Hill.
“In consultation with clients over the last few years, we noticed a shift away from suburb specific activity into more regional behaviours. For example, we’ve discovered that most people on the North Shore whether they’re upsizing or downsizing stay on the North Shore,” said Mr Hill.
“They might move up or down the train line, but they are staying in the general North Shore area. We want to be able to service all their needs from the very start, from their first apartment to their family home.
“Raine & Horne HM group also meets the needs of a broader clientele across the region by having locations in Chatswood that can service suburbs to the north, and an office at Crows Nest that can also service south to Waverton.”
Raine & Horne HM Group has offices at G02/99 Alexander St, Crows Nest and Suite 2 / 129 Victoria Avenue, Chatswood. For all your sales and property management enquiries in Crows Nest, Chatswood, Willoughby, St Leonards and surrounding suburbs contact Raine & Horne HM Group on 9439 3488.
