- Dream team launch Raine & Horne Richmond
Raine & Horne Richmond will be led by Charles (Chas) Groom, Robert Muir, and Maggie Zorlu, who worked in sales and property management with another major real estate office located in the Richmond area.
With over 35 years of combined experience in business, account management and real estate, Mr Groom says the decision to join Raine & Horne was easy.
“I purchased my second home with my wife Janine through Raine & Horne. Their service was first-class, which left a lasting impression on me,” recalled Mr Groom, who has worked for two agencies in Western Sydney. His family also owned real estate agencies in NSW and Queensland.
The fact that Raine & Horne is a family owned business marking 135 years of real estate service in 2018, appealed to the new Raine & Horne Richmond principals too, along with that fact the Raine family has been at the helm continuously since those pioneering days.
Amplifying business success
Mr Groom added, “Max Raine and Angus Raine are amazing businessmen and I have always admired them for their ability to consistently lead the Australian property industry and continually strive to make Raine & Horne the Superbrand it is today.
“But the firm isn’t prepared to rest on its laurels and its innovative market-leading technology platform, Amplify is a perfect example of what no other real estate business can deliver to their clients.”
Amplify is an online advertising platform that is delivering an average of 700% more property page views on RH.com.au than traditional digital marketing systems.
Since launching in April, Amplify is achieving average click-through rates of 12% and average reading times of 2.16 minutes per online property advertisement. These results compare brilliantly with the average real estate industry click-through rate of 0.98% and closely mirror successful results from overseas.
New level of service for the Hawkesbury real estate market
Mr Groom said there is a golden opportunity for the new team to make its mark on the Hawkesbury real estate market.
“We have identified that the people of the Hawkesbury lacked a complete real estate agency business with a brand that is continually evolving with everchanging property market demands.
“It also seemed evident that Raine & Horne was the only company that was aligned to our business objectives. The fact that it also has offices operating all around the world resonated with me and means we could potentially sell a Richmond home to online buyers globally.”
That said, Mr Groom said the Raine & Horne Richmond team has the runs on the board to service the local real estate market.
Local expertise and community connections
“We know this area like the back of our hands. My son Mitchell plays rugby league for premiership winning Hawkesbury Hawkes, and we support a few charities such as Relay for Life, NSW Ambulance Service, and the local SES, while we all have school aged children.
“We will also be supporting more local sporting teams once we’re more established.”
Community links will be critical in building a business in the Nepean region that has the highest number of school-age children in NSW, noted Mr Groom.
He added, “We have a lot of younger families moving to this region, and we have much affordable housing with median three-bedroom houses selling for about $660,000.”
“We have a massive new $35 million campus of Hurlstone Agricultural College relocating to Richmond.
“There is also an enormous business park coming to the region too.”
Mr Groom, Mr Muir, and Ms Zorlu will oversee the growth of the sales and property management business.
“We will look to growing a rent roll and at that point will employ some property managers to work for us,” Mr Groom said.
