Brisbane commercial property firm named super brand’s best

  • Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North has been named the commercial super brands best National and Queensland Commercial property office for 2023.
  • The commercial property heavy weight scored the weighty double of Top Commercial Office Dollar Valueand Top Commercial Office Number of Sales
  • The team scored a total of 33 office and individual awards at the glittering awards event held at Sofitel Brisbane on Saturday 4 March.

Brisbane commercial property heavyweight Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North, has once again powered its way to national glory at the 2023 National and Queensland Raine & Horne Awards held at glamorous Sofitel Brisbane. 

The leading commercial property firm, led by star Principal Trent Bruce, scored an impressive 33 awards, and a record 12 agents and property managers were inducted into Raine & Horne’s elite Chairman’s Club for high performers. 

At the glittering event that attracted 350 of Raine & Horne’s best and brightest residential and commercial property specialists in Queensland, Raine & Horne Brisbane North scored the prestigious double of Top Commercial Office Dollar Value and Top Commercial Office Number of Sales.  

The awards event also marked the 140th anniversary of the launch of Raine & Horne in 1883. 

Angus Raine, Executive Chairman Raine & Horne, said, “It is truly remarkable to consider that it was back on 23 May 1883 that real estate pioneers – my great grandfather Thomas Raine and Joseph Horne, first established the Raine & Horne brand.

“From humble beginnings in a small office in Sydney, Raine & Horne now has 300 offices across the globe, and one of our best and most consistent is Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North, which Trent opened in 1999.”

In addition to the office awards, Mr Bruce one a swag of personal gongs, including National and Queensland Top Auction ListerNational Top Principal - Sales $ Value and National Top Principal – No. of Sales. He also scored second place in the Top Commercial Agent - Sale $ Value category in Queensland. 

Fellow director Lawrence Temple was the Top Commercial Agent – Sales $ Value nationally and for Queensland. He scored the state and national double in the Top Commercial Agent – Lease $ Value category and finished second in the Top Commercial Agent – No. of Sales in Queensland and third nationally in the Top Commercial Agent – No. of Sales. 

“Trent and Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North regularly win awards because they use the auction process to sell commercial real estate,” said Mr Raine.  

In 2022, Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North sold a fully leased medical/retail investment at Albany Creek - dubbed a trophy property - for $8.3 million via auction and more recently vacant land at 535 Zillmere Road, Zillmere for $7.91m.

The team at Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North has prospered because it has always invested in employing and training younger agents in commercial real estate sales skills, according to Mr Raine.  

“Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North has a dynamic and cohesive team culture, and this is attracting some exciting and well-credentialed talent, which helps them consistently win our best office awards,” he said.

Proving the success at Raine & Horne Commercial Brisbane North is a team effort, Sales and Leasing Executive Dave Miller scored second in the Top Commercial Agent - Leasing $ Value category for Queensland and scored third place nationally in the Top Commercial Agent - Leasing $ Value category.

Mr Miller ranked third in Queensland in the Top Commercial Agent – No. of Leases category and for Top Commercial Agent – No. of Sales

The highly organised and experienced Lyn Cusick was named Administrator of the Year for Queensland and Senior Property Manager, Carolyn Brookes was a nominee for the Property Manager of the Year.

Mr Bruce said winning the national and Queensland awards validated the internal processes his team has committed to and its passion for selling, leasing and managing commercial property.

“I’m blown away by the fact that we won in total 33 awards, but it’s a total team effort. Without our property managers and administration staff, there is no way we would be achieving great sales and leasing results and winning awards.”

The 2023 Raine & Horne National and Queensland Awards for Excellence winners include:

  • 1st Top Commercial Office – Number of Sale (State)
  • 2nd Top Commercial Office - Number of Sales (National)
  • Auction Shield – Metropolitan (State)

  • 1st Top Commercial Agent – Lease $ Value (National & State)
  • 2nd Top Commercial Agent – No. of Sales (State)
