Leading international property group, Raine & Horne will host a star-spangled cast of guest speakers including super athlete Sally Pearson at its 2018 International Conference to be held on the Gold Coast in July.
The event to be held at the Star Gold Coast from Sunday 22 - Tuesday 24 July and will double as a booming celebration for the real estate Superbrand that opened its doors for business 135 years ago in 1883 in Hunter Street, Sydney.
An Olympic and world champion, Ms Pearson will share her career highlights and hurdles as a part of a fireside chat to be held at the Star on Monday 23 July.
The gold medalist will be joined by other keynote speakers at Conference including inspirational comedian and writer Anh Do, who as a two-year-old boy arrived in Australia from Vietnam on a leaking boat in 1980, along with leading social researcher Michael McQueen.
Angus Raine, Executive Chairman Raine & Horne said the 2018 International Conference will attract many hundreds of the group’s leading principals, sales agents and property managers from across the globe.
“The 2018 International Conference will also mark 135 years of real estate excellence, and for this reason, it will be no ordinary real estate conference,” he said.
“With guest speakers such as Sally, Anh, Michael, and our very own commercial dynamo, Peter Mosedale from Raine & Horne Dee Why/Collaroy, the Conference will challenge, inspire and educate our network and those who choose to attend.”
More than sport and comedy
Apart from luminaries such as Anh Do and Sally Pearson, the 2018 International Conference will offer a stellar lineup of motivational, educational and inspirational speakers including consumer trends and customer experience expert Amanda Stevens.
Other speakers include Michael Crossland, who as an infant defeated life-threatening cancer before surviving a horrific drug pilot, which killed every other triallist. Other speakers include Dr Anne Purcell, an expert in workplace disputes and mediation, property management guru, Darren Hunter and real estate coach Deniz Yuzuf.
135 years of global real estate excellence and counting
The 2018 International Conference will celebrate 135 years of Raine & Horne’s contribution to helping people achieve their property dreams.
Today, Raine & Horne employs over 3,000 real estate sales specialists internationally. The 135-year-old global firm also manages over 70,000 properties for investors dotted across the world and sells tens of thousands of properties globally every year.
“We are now a multi-national organisation with a presence in every Australian State and Territory, along with a rapidly expanding international network of offices in Asia, the Middle East and the South Pacific,” said Mr Raine, who will host the three-day event on the Gold Coast.
“Since 1883, we have developed a comprehensive and integrated range of property services incorporating Residential, Commercial, Rural and Financial Services, making us one of the world’s most substantial real estate firms, and having twice been officially recognised as an Australian Superbrand.”
Surviving wars and depressions
“Surviving two world wars, booms, busts, depressions, and recessions over the 135 years in operation, we continue to deliver consistent performance and reputation in marketplaces around the world,” said Mr Raine, the fourth generation of his family to lead the real estate juggernaut.
“We are the fastest growing real estate network in Australia, with our successful growth reflected in national sales figures that are amongst the highest in Australia.
“It’s fitting that in our 135th year of operation we have assembled probably our best-ever lineup of guest speakers for Conference including Anh, Sally, and Michael.
“Our star-studded lineup will prove a hit with the many hundreds of members of our group who attend Conference from Australia, the Pacific region, the Middle East and Asia, who will also be commemorating 135 years of our international commercial success in grand style.”
