New Brisbane office to kick-off year of celebration for Raine & Horne

Media Release

Brisbane, Queensland (2 January 2018) Leading property group Raine & Horne, which is celebrating 135 years of operation in 2018, has launched into the New Year with an office in Ascot, one of Brisbane’s most well-established suburbs.

Raine & Horne Ascot is led by dynamic businessman Adam Duffus, who has extensive sales, real estate and retail experience. Apart from owning a successful independent real estate business in Toowoomba between 2013 and 2017, Mr Duffus owned and operated several Harvey Norman franchises in Queensland and New Zealand.

Raine & Horne Ascot will deliver sales and property management services Ascot, Hamilton, Clayfield, Nundah, Hendra and Wavell Heights.

As part of the launch, Mr Duffus has enlisted the services of inner northside real estate sales ace Lucas Wilson.

“Lucas has been around for a long-time and has worked for all the major real estate brands and knows the inner north real estate markets like the back of his hand. He’ll be a major asset to our business,” says Mr Duffus.

Raine & Horne’s leading-edge technology and focus on innovation appeals to Mr Duffus and helped sway him to the real estate brand that opened for business in 1883.

“It helps that Raine & Horne is a long-established brand. There is plenty of older money in Ascot, where the median house price is $1.25 million,” notes Mr Duffus. “Many property owners in Ascot and surrounding suburbs tend to trust and gravitate to the older real estate brands such as Raine & Horne.”

Raine & Horne Ascot will be a serviced-based real estate firm that will offer very distinctive sales and property management services. Mr Duffus says, “We recognise that existing owners are a primary client, however as Ascot and surrounding suburbs are tightly held, we will happily provide advice to buyers about how to secure a property in Brisbane’s inner north.

“Buyers are currently being underserviced, and we will change this situation. We are happy to help people sell, buy or rent property in this region.

“Moreover, when you deal with Raine & Horne Ascot, it will be a full-service real estate client experience and you’ll only ever deal with an agent and not a personal assistant.”

The Brisbane market is still very affordable compared to Sydney and Melbourne, yet suburbs such as Ascot, will continue to achieve annual average growth of close to 7% in 2018, predicts Mr Duffus.

“We saw some strong results in the luxury market last year, with interstate and overseas buyers snapping up our higher end homes. It’s fair to expect this trend to continue in 2018.”
