New ownership marks a fresh chapter for Raine & Horne in family-friendly Carindale

March 5, 2024

Raine & Horne Carindale is thrilled to announce a shift in ownership, with Ms Lanny Hur assuming leadership of the esteemed real estate office.

Established in 1999 by Mark and Alicia Fluhart, this change marks an exciting new chapter for the leading Carindale real estate office. Mr and Mrs Fluhart will continue as the principals of Raine & Horne Onsite Sales.

Ms Hur brings a wealth of experience from the property development sector and is set to inject new energy and vision into Carindale’s thriving real estate market.

“While it’s not a brand-new office, it’s an exciting transition for me as I take over from Mark and Alicia, who have been involved with Raine & Horne for over 15 years,” Ms Hur said.

“My background is in property development, where I was involved in sales and the rental management of new properties. With over 15 years of experience in various business ventures, my extensive background in property positions me well to lead Raine & Horne Carindale into a new era.”

Familiarity, potential, and support from Raine & Horne

Ms Hur highlighted several factors in the strategic selection of Carindale as the location for her latest property endeavours. “I used to live in Carindale, and my familiarity with the area, coupled with its immense potential and the support from Raine & Horne, made it the ideal choice for our business. We are not just continuing the legacy; we are enhancing it.”

Expressing confidence in the partnership with Raine & Horne, Ms Hur shared, “Before making this decision, we conducted thorough research. Raine & Horne’s more than century-long legacy and commitment to staying technologically advanced impressed us.

“The first-to-market social media marketing platform Amplify, for instance, showcases Raine & Horne’s dedication to providing industry-leading support for its offices.”

Ms Hur highlighted the onboarding experience: “The onboarding process has been excellent. It feels like joining a big family. Our Network Manager Kyle Pitman, Queensland General Manager Steve Worrad, and the entire team at Raine & Horne have been incredibly supportive, making the transition smooth and enjoyable.”

She continued, “As a new principal, joining the group is as simple as taking a step. We do not need to create new systems or marketing materials from scratch. Everything is readily available, waiting for us to access and utilise.”

Ms Hur also shed light on the Carindale real estate market, stating, “Carindale is a unique pocket with high demand due to its excellent schools such as Citipointe Christian College, Belmont State School, and Mansfield State High School.

“Carindale is also close to the Brisbane CBD, which is about 10 kilometres away, Westfield Shopping Centre, hospitals such as Mater Hospital Brisbane, Belmont Private Hospital, and parks.".

“It’s a family-friendly area, and the real estate market here is consistently promising for growing families and older downsizers who want to be close to their grandchildren.”

Given Carindale’s proximity to the Brisbane CBD, property prices can be slightly higher. However, Ms Hur says younger families starting out can still find older three-bedroom homes for under $1 million.

As for the future of Raine & Horne Carindale, Ms Hur revealed aggressive expansion plans, stating, “We’re actively looking for sales agents to join our team and plan to have a team of eight to ten sales agents within the next six to twelve months. Additionally, we aim to strengthen our property management business with two to three property managers joining within the next year.”
