Grant Neilson

Senior Sales Agent
Raine & Horne Maclean, Yamba, Iluka

Grant Neilson relocated to the Lower Clarence area in 1992 and is now a leading salesperson in Maclean, after commencing there in February 2005.

Grant’s various professional employment roles prior to Raine & Horne ensured that he brought with him many qualities. Behind him he has 14 years with Telstra in managerial, marketing and project management roles before working locally in the finance industry as a mortgage broker.  This latter role fortuitously brought him into contact with the Raine & Horne Maclean, Yamba, Iluka Office. His approach was so impressive that he was offered a position. Basically, Grant has gone from financing property purchases to facilitating the sale of properties. “It just seems like a natural progression for me, moving from finance to real estate and I am really thrilled for connecting my buyers and sellers needs to create business” Grant said.

Having lived in the Lower Clarence since 1992, Grant has developed a vast knowledge of the local area. He has been heavily involved with the Maclean Bobcats Soccer Club as a player, coach and administrator and that still continues today as a Life Member.

A bit of a sporting fanatic he also enjoys his surfing where he is involved with Angourie Boardriders Club along with a social game of golf and cricket. He is also a family man, married to Kylie with three children Bree, Asher and Zane.

What Grant brings to the team is a definite enthusiasm towards the job. Knowledge of the financial side of the process is a definite asset and due to this Grant really enjoys assisting the first home buyer in understanding the daunting prospect of buying their first home. The grounding he received in finance broking also showed him how to service the vendor and cites that “regular contact with my clients and keeping people informed is the most important aspect in building trust”. He also recognises that selling and buying property can be a very stressful process and, whilst always the utmost professional, he also likes to take some of the pressure off by bringing a laugh along with him to lighten the load. “You always need to keep your sense of humour” is a slogan Grant lives by.

So if you are thinking of buying or selling your property think Raine & Horne, the market leader, and contact Grant Neilson regarding all your property needs.
