Gloucester NSW | Specialist local rural real estate brand Raine & Horne Rural Gloucester has made a big splash by opening a new ultramodern that is set to attract more appraisals, listings and sales to the successful local business as well as more recruits.
Raine & Horne Rural Gloucester, led by long-time real estate principal Andrew Tregent that launched earlier in 2022[i] will now operate from a purpose-built location at 54 Church St, Gloucester
The opening of Raine & Horne Rural Gloucester involved acquiring leading independent Webbs Real Estate by Mr Tregent and his business partners, Mr Tom Tregent and Mr David Keenan. The trio are also members of the leadership team at Raine & Horne’s offices at Umina, Ettalong Beach, Woy Woy, and St Hubert’s Island on the NSW Central Coast. Mr Tregent and his wife Monique also own Coolabah[ii], a belted Calloway Stud on 1436 acres at Bulliac 20 kilometres northeast of Gloucester.
Mr Tregent said, “Webbs has a history of 40 years in Gloucester and has a well-established team of real estate specialists led by licensee Gary Ferris.”
No expense spared in office re-fit
Commenting on the comprehensive fit-out of the new Raine & Horne Rural Gloucester office at 54 Church Street, Mr Tregent said no stone was left unturned.
“For many years, Webbs operated from 85 Church Street. However, this building was recently affected by water damage.
“In response, we moved across the road to 54 Church Street and now have a magnificent new office that sets us perfectly for the next era for our fantastic team at Raine & Horne Rural Gloucester and servicing the needs of our rural property clients.”
Building an office of attraction
54 Church Street was home to the iconic Channell’s Newsagency for over a century. Mr Tregent said he was mindful of the building’s history and visibility at a high-traffic intersection in Gloucester.
“This is a heritage-listed building that for 103 years was home to a well-regarded local business, and we have absolutely maintained the façade but have undertaken a complete renovation of the interior and added an entirely new roof,” Mr Tregent said.
“We were at pains to preserve this building’s connection with the streetscape, but it also allowed me, for the first time, to plan a purpose-built real estate office from the ground up that acknowledges the unique way of doing business in this region.
“For example, the enjoyable part of the refurbishment was the fit-out of a loungeroom style meeting room complete with fireplace where our sales and property management staff can meet our clients in relaxed comfort.
“Our clients can sit in the loungeroom with the fire blazing and have a good chin wag with our staff which is in keeping with the way business is conducted in regional towns such as Gloucester.
According to Mr Tregent, the new country-style office will have an open plan property management and office sales department.
“I want Raine & Horne Rural Gloucester to be an attraction office for our vendors and buyers in this region and to help us recruit and retain good staff as we grow.
“Seriously, the comfort and finishes we have invested in this office are better than my home. It’s all about staff recruitment and retention and providing a great environment with the best amenities to compete with other employers in this region.”
