Sydney, NSW (9 February 2023) Mindy Powell-Hodges has been appointed to the role of Head of Network for the Raine & Horne Group, effective immediately.

Ms Powell-Hodges will mastermind Raine & Horne’s latest three-year strategic plan and will lead and drive the group’s dynamic growth and build on its reputation as a leading real estate agency franchisor, as measured by business profitability, franchisee satisfaction and competitive positioning compared with other real estate franchised networks.

Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne, said, “Mindy is a highly experienced C-suite executive with a diverse corporate background in Australia and the United States and across various disciplines including real estate franchising, proptech, financial services, marketing and public relations.”

Strong real estate and franchising expertise

Over the last 12 years, Ms Powell-Hodges has worked in the real estate sector across various roles with several major national franchise companies and, more recently, as Chief Operating Officer with proptech start-up MyHomeVault. Ms Powell Hodges was also CEO and Managing Director of the real estate recruitment firm Greenfield Recruitment.

“In previous roles, whether in the recruitment of staff or driving market share for a franchisor, Mindy has focussed specifically on profitability and growth.”

Having worked at an executive senior level with 2 major Australian franchise groups, Mindy has an impressive background and ability to empower her teams and pivot them toward strategy and growth.

“Make no bones about it – we want to open new offices and buy networks in Australia and overseas, and Mindy will play a big part in these acquisition plans.

“Mindy has also identified opportunities for strategic growth for the previous groups she worked with, and this experience, combined with her stints in proptech and recruitment, will enable Raine & Horne to build on the outstanding growth and technology advancements made in recent years.”

Mr Raine continued, “Together, Mindy and I share a passion for building strong relationships within the corporate team and across our international group of more than 300 offices. Mindy is a forward thinker with the ability to create a cohesive and collaborative culture.

“Our Board is excited about working with Mindy in progressing our three-year strategy and our many growth initiatives already in training and implementing new strategies to ensure our ongoing future success in our 140th year.”

The perfect blend of contemporary innovation and a legacy of trust

Ms Powell-Hodges said she is honoured to join Raine & Horne as it turns 140 years young. “The firm has seen off several great depressions, two world wars, pandemics, and a Global Financial Crisis, and through that have established itself as a trusted brand that has delivered to its network a suite of digital marketing products that differentiates them in the markets.

“These products are genuinely market-leading as they have been carefully trialled and tested which is in keeping with the prudent way Raine & Horne has always operated”.

I’m looking forward to driving the two most important components to the business growth and increasing the performance of our existing offices.

“I look forward to assisting and working with the group's long-term principals and key team members to understand their needs now and into the future.”
