- Leading Blacktown independent joins Raine & Horne
Key points
- Raine & Horne has launched an office in Blacktown as first-home buyers flex their muscles.
- Raine & Horne Blacktown will be led by whiz kid principals Hash Soultani and Peter Kwaramba.
- Already there are 20% more groups at open homes in the Blacktown region as buyer urgency goes up a notch.
Young gun sales agents Hash Soultani and Peter Kwaramba, directors of leading Blacktown-based independent Soultani Property Group, have linked with Raine & Horne just as buyer urgency has started to bounce back in Western Sydney.
Angus Raine, Executive Chairman of Raine & Horne, said the choice by Mr Soultani and Mr Kwaramba to join Raine & Horne illustrates the appeal of the super brand's reputation and focus on delivering technology firsts.
"Our ecosystem of digital firsts such as game-changing AI and social media marketing technology Amplify, and online sales and property management appraisal platform, DigitKit are massive prospecting tools for us," Mr Raine said.
"The average age of our new principals joining us is around 38 years old, but they aren't real estate greenhorns.
"Hash, who is just 30 started his real estate career in 2011. More significantly, he has already worked for several leading real estate groups as a sales agent and sales manager and, along with Peter, is already a principal of a leading independent Soultani Property Group.
"You can't buy experiences like this, and Peter and Hash are also incredibly motivated to take their business, Raine & Horne Blacktown, to the next level.
"It's really exciting, and I'm looking forward to working closely with them to deliver our unique ecosystem of real estate knowledge, products and services to homeowners, buyers, investors, and tenants in the Blacktown region."
Blacktown local through and through
Mr Soultani, who has lived his entire life in Blacktown and attended Blacktown Boys High School, confirmed that Raine & Horne's industry-first digital products were central to his decision to switch his independent.
"As an independent, we have been writing great numbers, including over $1 million in commissions in 2021. We have close to 120 property management after starting from scratch h a year or so ago.
"We were approached last year by several other real estate groups, but Raine & Horne's approach, value proposition and growth goals in Western Sydney resonated with us.
"Tina Ashton, National Head of Growth & Network Manager at Raine & Horne Group, showed us where the brand wants to be in five years and intends to support younger principals like Peter and myself.
"Tina's tenacity also impressed me, and she was fantastic throughout the transition. She is very genuine and a fantastic communicator, and I love how she hustles to get everything done. This is the way I like to work."
Mr Soultani, whose firm's colours of black and gold are similar to those of the super brand, said he is thrilled to be joining the firm in its 140th year.
"Raine & Horne has been around longer than many Australian brands, demonstrating that the company knows what it's doing and that we're in excellent hands."
Market green shoots as buyers show more urgency
Looking ahead to 2023, Mr Soultani, who will also become a first-time dad this year, believes that first-home buyers will drive the affordable Blacktown market once the Reserve Bank takes its foot off the monetary policy pedal. Median house prices in Blacktown are $800,000.
"Already, we are seeing around 20% more groups at Saturday open for inspections, and there is more buyer urgency than in the last quarter of 2022.
"At the same time, vendors have more realistic sales expectations, and to my mind, this makes for a healthy and well-balanced market where the best agents will achieve the best results."
