Western Sydney hotshot agent named Raine & Horne’s best in NSW

April 6, 2022

A leading Western Sydney agent Jack Turner and his award-winning office, Raine & Horne St Marys, scored significant industry recognition at the annual Raine & Horne NSW State Awards.

The annual awards, which attracted an audience of almost 500, were held at the magnificent Parkside Ballroom with the ICC Centre at Darling Harbour and were hosted by Australian entertainment royalty Andrew Daddo and Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne.

In the highly competitive Top Salesperson Number of Sales category, Mr Turner placed first, beating home Ms Bronwyn Geppert from Raine & Horne Batemans Bay and Raine & Horne Lower North Shores’ Rebecca Mitchell. Mr Turner also finished fifth in the hotly contested Top Salesperson Dollar Value.

An incredibly proud Mr Turner, also Raine & Horne St Marys Sales Manager, said his award recognised a change in focus at his award-winning office. “While my name is on these awards, it’s been a total team effort that has enabled us to score these prestigious gongs,” Mr Turner said.

“Over the last 12 months, we have reviewed the way we work and restructured and upped the ante on delivering even higher levels of good old-fashioned and personalised customer services to our vendors and buyers.”

According to Mr Turner, his team is always prepared to take a buyer on the entire journey to their next home, and this a major point of difference to his competitors. “Unlike our competition, we never close the door on a buyer just because the first property we show them doesn’t suit.

“We always ask what else we can show you, and don’t rest until a buyer has the keys to their next home.”

Affordability, airports and university students to drive St Marys markets in 2022

Mr Turner also says that the popularity and affordability of St Marys and surrounding suburbs contributed to his win.

“At the start of 2021, a three-bedroom house in St Marys was worth around $650,000, which attracted plenty of first-time buyers from Sydney’s east and inner west,” Mr Turner said.

“While prices have jumped exponentially over the last year and the same house is probably now valued at closer to $850,000, our region’s proximity to the $5.3 billion Western Sydney International Airport at Badgerys Creek continues to attract buyers with an eye on future capital growth.”

Mr Turner believes that investors will increase their presence at St Marys’ open homes as immigration picks up in 2022.

“Currently, around 20% of buyers are investors. However, with foreign students returning to nearby University of Western Sydney, demand for rentals is set to go through the roof in this region,” Mr Turner said.

“Tight rental markets will ensure yield-hungry investors return to our region in much bigger numbers than we’ve seen in about two years. We expect investors to contribute to about 40% of transactions this year.”

In another major win for Western Sydney, Raine & Horne Ingleburn led by Mr Abu Ratul,
Mr Raji Islam and Ms Farha Diba were named the Superbrand’s Fastest Growing Office in NSW with growth of 500% year on year.
