GREEN SQUARE LIBRARY & PET FRIENDLY DEVELOPMENTS | GREEN SQUARE REAL ESTATE

Library open - All the talk about market conditions and value falls can mean it’s sometimes easy to forget about the great things happening in Green Square!

The new features of the village are brilliant. The launch of the new library and plaza is a great example. Designed by Stewart Hollenstein with Stewart Architecture and built by John Holland, the library includes a subterranean garden, open air amphitheatre and a six-storey glass tower. There is a tech lab, music room with piano and a number of bookable spaces. It’s very impressive and obviously, libraries have changed a whole lot since I was a kid! It’s well worth a look.

Pawfect idea - With the move towards apartment living, the developments of the future need to adapt to allow us all to continue sharing our lives with our furry friends. Not that long ago, strata laws were changed to reverse the default rule that pets were not allowed, unless approval was gained. Now, pets are allowed and not only that, they are being catered to in a big way. Mirvac has partnered with RSPCA NSW to come up with a pet concierge service, which they have been trialling in the Green Square community. If given the green light to become fully operational, the pet concierge would mean someone would be around to take pets for a walk, feed them, or just hang with them if you are stuck at work longer than need be. It’s a great idea in an age where people are working longer and have less space to allow pets to entertain themselves.
