Jan died in 1984, but Nancy was up at Leschenaultia house for a time until she passed away, and she had in her room a photo of her son, which was taken in front of the fireplace and shelves that are in the big lounge room, same as today. The stained-glass windows are all original, and the ceiling roses. Nancy recalled planting the camelia and fuchsia bushes which are out the front and look amazing around the Kojonup show time. Now the Shire have put in a new footpath which is amazing! I used to have to walk the pram along the road. The kids wished we still lived there as it is so close to the swimming pool and skate park, and the school. We also had chooks in the pen, and the large veggie patch was amazing, due to the full sun area down the back.
