- Raine & Horne expands presence in Melbourne’s northern suburbs with the launch of Thomastown office
- Raine & Horne expands with a new office in Thomastown, led by Mansher Singh, principal of a leading local independent.
- Raine & Horne Thomastown is part of the company’s strategic expansion in northern Melbourne in its 140th year of operation.
- Mr Singh is also the new principal of Raine & Horne Glenroy, succeeding Anthony Romano, who will continue to contribute to the business in a sales role.
The newly established Raine & Horne Thomastown, located at 245 High Street Thomastown, will be under the leadership of Mansher Singh, an experienced real estate professional and long-time owner of Thomastown’s independent Singh Real Estate.
Mr Singh is also taking the helm at nearby Raine & Horne Glenroy at 823 Pascoe Vale Road, Glenroy, succeeding Anthony Romano, who will continue contributing to the business in a sales role.
Strategic expansion will set the super brand ahead of the pack
The launch of the Thomastown office signifies Raine & Horne’s commitment to expanding its influence in Melbourne’s north in its 140th year of operation.
Randolph Clements, Managing Director of Raine & Horne Victoria, said, “We see great potential in Melbourne’s northern suburbs, and this expansion allows us to serve this vibrant community better.
“Mansher Singh’s experience and dedication align seamlessly with our brand values, and we are excited to collaborate on this journey.”
Mr Clements further emphasised that despite facing 12 increases in the official cash rate since May 2022, the timing for the Thomaston expansion is opportune for a well-established brand like Raine & Horne. As a component of this growth strategy, Mr Clements has also reinforced his business support and development team.
“Over the last four decades alone, we have come through stagflation in the 1970s, the recession “we had to have” in the 1990s, the Global Financial Crisis and more,” Mr Clements said.
“While we’ve gone through some challenges over the last 12 months because of rising interest rates, we didn’t panic and believe now is the time to keep forging ahead with our expansion plans and get ahead of the pack.
“When the market sees that Raine & Horne is progressive and has an aggressive strategy for growth, we expect more offices to join us in Victoria.”
Mr Singh, with an extensive background in the industry since 2006, brings a wealth of experience and expertise to his leadership roles at Raine & Horne Thomastown and Raine & Horne Glenroy. Mr Singh will be supported by experienced General Manager Jordan Romero who will head up the sales departments.
“With a strong focus on customer service and local insights, we will aim to provide exceptional real estate services to the residents of Thomastown, Glenroy and beyond,” said Mr Singh.
“In Glenroy, in particular, there is an enormous opportunity for our business to make a solid mark on the local property market.”
Leveraging brand awareness and technology leadership for business growth
Mr Singh expressed enthusiasm about this strategic move: "The decision to align with Raine & Horne is driven by the desire to tap into a broader network and take advantage of the brand’s recognition and marketing prowess.
“Essentially, Singh Real Estate was a family business that hadn’t been pushed to its full potential. I’ve been in real estate since 2005 and have a strong network, but I was not properly utilising it.
“However, aligning with a prominent brand like Raine & Horne offers the chance to elevate the business significantly.
“It’s also hard for a small business to retain staff because people want to go and work with the big names. So, from a recruitment and retention standpoint, this move to Raine & Horne makes sense.”
The experienced principal is also impressed with Raine & Horne’s ecosystem of technology firsts, such as the AI-powered social media marketing platform Amplify, which effectively promotes properties to a broader pool of potential buyers and tenants.
“Amplify is very impressive, and it will greatly boost the reach of our property listings. Replicating this technology as an independent would take too much money.”
In addition to expanding its branding reach and enhancing its technological capabilities, the profound support of Randolph Clements has also greatly impressed Mr Singh.
“Randolph, whose dynamic demeanour, and impressive presentation also drew me in. Randolph’s energy and our matching mindsets clicked, along with the unparalleled support he provided.
“Such a level of support is a rarity among other brands, and I genuinely wish I had met Randolph 15 years ago when I started my business ownership journey.
“With the support of Randolph and Raine & Horne, I am confident in my vision to grow our property management business further and potentially open more offices across Melbourne’s northern suburbs.”
The expansion also comes at an opportune time as the real estate market in the northern suburbs of Melbourne continues to exhibit strength and resilience.
“Despite market fluctuations, there remains consistent demand from first-time home buyers and investors, contributing to a steady pace of property transactions,” Mr Singh said.
