Homegrown Grenfell property ace comes home to open new Raine & Horne office

April 10, 2022

Raine & Horne has launched a new office in Grenfell, a move that underlines the Superbrand’s long-term commitment to servicing regional real estate markets.

Raine & Horne Grenfell is owned and operated by the long-established principals, Mr Graeme Schneider, and Mrs Ros Schneider. Mr Schneider started at Raine & Horne Young in 1993. Born and bred in Grenfell, Mr Schneider, who lived in Grenfell until 2011 is excited by the prospect of “coming home” after acquiring long-term Grenfell independent real estate firm Clive J. Anderson & Co.

“We already have significant market share in Grenfell, but the opportunity to acquire Clive J. Anderson & Co included a rent roll, which means we are not starting Raine & Horne Grenfell from scratch,” Mr Schneider said.

“We will offer residential, lifestyle, rural and commercial properties sales and property management in Grenfell.

“Operating as Raine & Horne Young/Grenfell we will service Young, Grenfell, Boorowa, Harden & the greater Hilltop region.”

Logical next piece in regional expansion puzzle

Raine & Horne has also added offices at Parkes and Cowra to its central western NSW network in recent years, and Mr Schneider said he was delighted to be part of this growth with the launch of his new office in Grenfell.

“I have been with Raine & Horne since 1993 and since then, we have continued to expand added more, including the new offices in Parkes and Cowra that have done very well,” he said.

“The new offices that now includes Raine & Horne Grenfell have filled in a few strategic gaps in this part of NSW and allowed us to deliver Raine & Horne’s industry-leading technology and services to more vendors and buyers, landlords, and tenants.”

Mr Schneider said he is delighted to open a second office with the backing of Raine & Horne.

“Over the last ten years, Raine & Horne has ramped up the support for its offices, adapted to newer technologies, and provided more online training support,” he said.

“Regional and rural real estate is also a significant focus for our Group, making opening a second office under the Raine & Horne banner a logical move.”

Positive outlook for Young and Grenfell real estate

Looking ahead to the remainder of 2022, Mr Schneider said he is confident that demand for Grenfell real estate will remain robust thanks to a diversified local economy.

“The last couple of years have been driven by Sydneysiders seeking to move to a rural property and escape lockdowns. However, the challenge now is getting sufficient listings to meet this demand.”

Raine & Horne Grenfell has already hit the ground running with the listing for sale by expressions of interest in a spacious four-bedroom house at 27 Bradley Street, Grenfell[i].

“There is still plenty of buyer enquiry, and if any well-located, quality properties hit the market, they will settle quickly,” Mr Schneider said.

“Grenfell has seen plenty of growth, but with a median house price around $320,000, this region offers plenty of real estate affordability.”

Mr Schneider said that a robust local economy based on traditional primary agriculture as well as a growing agribusiness sector underpinned employment and real estate demand in the Young and Grenfell regions.

“Young is like a mini agricultural and retail hub, while locals are less than two hours from Wagga and Canberra and about two hours from Bathurst and Orange if they need a broader range of products.”

Mr Angus Raine, Executive Chairman, Raine & Horne, said he was thrilled by the expansion of the Superbrand into Grenfell.

“Rural and regional real estate is a major focus for us. Apart from Graeme and Ros opening a second office in Grenfell, several of our other Principals have also launched new offices in Armidale and Gloucester within the first quarter of 2022,” Mr Raine said.

“Our business owners clearly trust our brand, and this gives them the confidence to keep growing by acquiring an entire business, rent rolls, or starting offices from scratch with the support of Raine & Horne.

“We have enjoyed a strong presence in the Central West region for many decades, and we are eyeing off opportunities for further growth in this region.”
