Raine & Horne Retail Services expands management team in wake of business growth

Raine & Horne Commercial Retail Services has beefed up its executive team after securing several new shopping centres around Australia.

As a consequence, the leading shopping centre specialist has added retail leasing specialist Robin Brenchley and former AMP asset manager Gary Quig as principals, according to Managing Director Colin Henry.

Mr Quig and Mr Brenchley have joined industry stalwarts, Mr Henry and Bruce Kinley, as co-owners of Raine & Horne Commercial Retail Services.

“We have added a number of significant shopping centres, including our first shopping centre in Queensland, and are aiming to open operations in every state,” said Mr Henry, who last month landed a second placing in the ‘Top Commercial Salesperson (Sales $ Value)’ category at the Raine & Horne National Awards.

“Our speciality is the management of neighbourhood shopping centres, which are focussed on food shopping, such as Glenmore Park Town Centre in Sydney’s west, and which is about to undergo a $30 million expansion.”

Other recent successes for Raine & Horne Commercial Retail Services include the leasing of the Dee Why Grand on Sydney’s Northern Beaches and the refurbished Southlands Shopping Centre in Penrith, which is home to Woolworths and 35 specialty stores.

“The appointments of Robin and Gary will be critical in maintaining Raine & Horne Commercial Retail Services’ high customer service benchmarks, while helping build new business opportunities around Australia.”

Born in the UK, Mr Brenchley has significant retail leasing experience in the UK and Australia. A graduate of Staffordshire University in England, Mr Brenchley migrated to Australia in 2005 to work for the Investa Property Group.

Stints with the likes of Mirvac followed, before Mr Brenchley joined Raine & Horne Commercial Retail Services in 2008 as a retail leasing manager. He was also recognised at the Raine & Horne’s National Awards with a second in the ‘Top Commercial Salesperson Leasing Dollar Value’ category.

“Robin’s appointment as a director recognises his ability to consistently assemble an effective shopping centre tenancy mix that gives confidence to the national clients he regularly represents,” Mr Henry said.

A graduate of the University of Western Sydney (Hawkesbury), Mr Quig joined Raine & Horne Commercial Retail Services in 2008 after 25 years of commercial property experience with major institutional investors AMP Capital Investors Ltd and GIO Asset Management Ltd.

“Gary’s experience has evolved over many years through property and asset management, leasing and development projects and property valuation and capital transactions,” Mr Henry said.

“Gary is very committed to building the shopping centre business and wanted to be part of the management team to help us."
