OUR FAVOURITE BRUNCH AND YUM CHA SPOTS IN ST GEORGE AND BAYSIDE
Brunch is the perfect meal to share with family and friends if you’re not a morning person and just can’t get your act together to meet up for breakfast. It’s also perfect if you’ve got a busy day ahead and just can’t make time for a lunch date.
And, the best thing about brunch is that you get to choose from both menus. You can choose your favourite dish from the breakfast menu or take a peek at the lunch menu for something a little different.
Have a look at our favourite spots for brunch around St George and the Bayside.
Our favourite brunch spots
Top Brew Espresso ‒ 459 Forest Road, Bexley
This is a great spot for a good coffee and maybe a bacon and egg roll. Or, perhaps you’re more in the mood for a haloumi BLT and some lovely fresh rice paper rolls. And, for those with a sweet tooth, you really have to try the carrot cake. It’s to die for. You’ll also be greeted with a warm and friendly smile when you enter as well as a most welcoming atmosphere.
Avocado Fruit Lounge Cafe ‒ Shop 4/370 Bay St, Brighton-le-Sands
Add some grilled haloumi to your smashed avo for the perfect brunch dish. If that isn’t your style, why not try the Mediterranean breakfast with eggs, Lebanese sausage, hummus and more, or go old-school with a cheese and tomato toasty.
Blackbird & Co ‒ 301 The Grand Pde, Sans Souci
This enticing café describes its menu as an innovative fusion with an Asian influence. All their meals are made from fresh local produce and include dishes such as grilled halloumi avo stack and blackbird protein bowl on the all-day brunch menu. For something with more of an Asian influence, you can try their creamy teriyaki salmon rice bowl or their crispy pork roll.
Nineteen43cafe ‒ 7 Geeves Ave, Rockdale
Get the full Lebanese street food experience. If it’s currently on the menu, don’t miss the staff favourite: 16-hour slow cooked marinated briskit with house-made bread, Labnah, and parsley salad.
Brighton Kiosk ‒ The Grand Parade, Brighton-Le-Sands
Located right on the beach at Botany Bay, this is the perfect spot for brunch on a lovely sunny day. This café has an all-day breakfast menu that includes omelettes and special menu items for the kids. They have fresh fruit salads if you’re after something a little lighter. Their lunch menu also includes some favourites such as their souvlaki plate and their scrumptious cheese and spinach pie.

Yum cha is the ideal food for a leisurely brunch with a bunch of friends on the weekend. It allows you to try a multitude of different dishes that are served to you in small portions. This is the perfect way to enjoy traditional Asian cuisine when you can’t select just one item from the menu.
